‘Neon Girl’ was created in Winter 2018 during a time of worry and uncertainty. I was recovering from a surgical procedure and waiting to hear ‘all clear’ for cancer, while my Dad’s health was deteriorating rapidly during his battle with cancer, which he lost months later.

This artwork highlights that it is important to stay positive during the tough times and see the colours of the world shining bright. We choose what we see in this world and turning up the volume on all the bright colours in life can help to overcome the darkness.
