‘I saw you looking’ is my last painting of 2019, spontaneously painted during my post-operation recovery. What was just an impromptu painting for my own pleasure of working with paint and canvas, started a new series of strong female portraits, which I’ve been working on since the start of 2020. This painting re-ignited my spark for working on canvas and with paint where my primary love was usually with dry pastels and paper.
