‘Callisto’ is an expressive portrait painted using only a mix of 3 colours: pale blush pink with black and white. If you look closer, you will notice interesting textures created using strong brush strokes, a pallet knife and layers of paint, which might resemble the surface of the moon (Callisto being the 2nd biggest moon of Jupiter).

Take a step back from almost abstract details of the painting and you may see an illustration of the story of Callisto – the nymph from the Greek mythology… as always, I will let you decide as the viewer, what you see and how you feel looking at this artwork.
