This painting of vivid florals in bloom is inspired by the imaging of brain activity of neurodivergent and neurotypical brain.

I've always been fascinated by the firing neurons in our brains. This whimsical process takes place as communication between neurons through electrical impulses and neurotransmitters.

Being able to see this activity and how different areas of the brain light up in colours, is captivating. This painting is an example of an artistic expression of a brain's activity. There are so many vibrant colours, so much going on at once, so many layers and dimensions beyond what you can see on the surface.
