With this portrait I’ve tapped into my Polish roots where the inspiration came from my love for the traditional Slavic folk attire. For the reference I’ve used a photograph from a photo shoot which I’ve done years ago in the garden where I grew up in Poland. The model here is my 8 years younger sister Kasia who allowed my to style her for the day. Kasia is standing here under an old apple tree in our family garden. This apple tree as been planted by my late Grandfather after IIWW and we still get delicious apples for our family recipe apple pie which my Grandma still bakes every year.
