‘Lalaland’ is one of the portraits from an eclectic collection of paintings which I started working on during the lock-down. My focus here is on reflection and different moods.

‘Lalaland’ usually refers to being out of touch with reality or living in ignorance, but here I would like to invite you to my lalaland where things are a bit different…

I would like you to think about escapism, the tendency to purposely seek distraction and relief from the unpleasant reality.
